It must be said that since 2008 and several incidents including shaving her head in front of dozens of paparazzi, the American star has been under the tutelage of her father. And according to justice, this will be the case until at least February 2021. As a result, the artist cannot make any decision alone regarding his personal life. Just over a year ago, before he resigned in March 2019, Britney Spears also had a second guardian in the person of Andrew Wallet, whose role for almost a decade was to look after her finances.
This particularly difficult situation, which has been going on for 12 years now, has not failed to mobilise the famous singer’s fans. Indeed, many don’t understand why after so many years she is still managed with an iron fist by her two guardians.
Britney Spears taken hostage by her guardians?
Since August, the singer of the worldwide hit Baby One More Time and Womanizer has been trying to get rid of his guardians. But problem is, his father doesn’t hear it from him and even hopes to bring back Andrew Wallet against the advice of Britney Spears, who definitely doesn’t want him. According to her father, since she doesn’t want to go on stage anymore, she will need him to manage her money. This point of view may seem surprising when we know that Andrew Wallet had an annual salary of more than 400,000 euros to be the guardian of the American star. For her part, Britney Spears, like her mother Lynn Spears, would prefer to entrust the management of her financial assets to a specialized company based in California.
On social networks, the artist’s fans have launched a hashtag called “#FreeBritney” whose purpose is to support her in this case, where many believe she is no more or less taken hostage by her guardian. It could be that Britney Spears, 38 years old, who has danced all over the world in the 2000s, might give up her career for good, knowing that her performances will benefit her guardians.
Very sad news, isn’t it?
