That’s a new one to take with a tweezers. Whether it’s real information or just a rumour spread, for the past few days now it’s been stirring up the internet: Tom Hardy could be the next James Bond.

While Dying can wait. The 25th opus in Ian Fleming’s saga, the 25th opus in the saga, is due to be released in theatres in France on November 11th, and Daniel Craig’s successor is already being considered. After having been postponed several times because of the coronavirus, the latest James Bond film will also be the film of his interpreter for the past 15 years.
A real phenomenon in the skin of this British agent, Daniel Craig has been able to transmit more darkness and intensity to his character. As a result, the man who is considered one of Agent 007’s best performers and the public’s favourite will have a hard time being replaced.
Tom Hardy next James Bond?
At the end of his contract, Daniel Craig had agreed to take over his role as MI6 agent one last time to bring his character’s narrative arc to a close. But this time, it is well and truly over. And the question everyone is asking is, who will succeed him?

While many betting sites (the British are fond of them) bet on a wide range of players, it is difficult to see an ounce of relevant clue. Several of the names on this list come up frequently when James Bond’s name is mentioned: Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders), James Norton (Black Mirror), Richard Madden (Game of Thrones) and most recently Henry Cavill (Superman). The latter had even been ‘elected’ and designated the next James Bond by… an artificial intelligence. So, in addition to the speculation, The Vulcan Reporter believes he has cracked the secret.
Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises, Venom,Taboo) would be the actor chosen to take over the role of Agent Bond. Tom Hardy was indeed one of the many potential actors in the running to succeed Daniel Craig. The Vulcan Reporter seems to know the reason for this silence. According to them, the coronavirus health crisis is to blame. The revelation of Tom Hardy’s reprise of the role should have been made in October. Except the film doesn’t come out until a month later. Unthinkable then for the producers, MGM, Universal and producer Barbara Broccoli to let the cat out of the bag before the theatrical release of the film. Dying can wait..
Studios and cinemas are counting on this event to revive the film industry to a minimum. Unveiling the name of Daniel Craig’s successor could put off the saga’s fanatics and create bad publicity if the lucky man is not to the taste of the spectators. A marketing and sanitary choice.
On the actor’s side, nothing has been communicated, but the intensity of the game and its eclectic characters should rally as many people as possible to his cause. Officially, the announcement of the next James Bond actor should be made public by the end of the year, or even early 2021, the time to give Daniel Craig the opportunity to say goodbye properly.
