Have you always dreamed of knowing where your favourite films and series were shot? Are you interested in having the opportunity to visit the locations where popular films are shot?

While the film Joker beats box office records all over the world, spectators are now rushing to the iconic location of this now mythical film scene: the stairs on which the JokerShakespeare Avenue in the Bronx. It has even become the meeting place for Instagrameurs wishing to take their picture of the place renamed by the fans “Joker stairs”.

Thomas Duke is a film enthusiast who studied at university. Since then, at the age of twenty, he has decided to travel the world to meet famous and emblematic film locations. The majority of them being pop culture films.

Thomas’ originality, unlike the traditional Instagrameurs, is to superimpose a photo of the film in question on the current location of the place where it is located. Thus, the result is a two-layer photo – the one on his Instagram – with the fictional photo in the foreground and the location in the background.

And Thomas doesn’t do things halfway. In addition to this rather clever feature to distinguish himself from his competitors, Thomas aligns very precisely the elements and sets found in the film with the current elements of the site. A way to demonstrate the validity of your photos.

After starting in the United Kingdom, his home country where most studio films are filmed, Thomas decided to broaden his horizons for the first time when he travelled to New York and especially to the Bronx, to the now famous…. stairs of the Joker.
