The director Michel Hazanavicius, to whom we owe OSS 117 and The Artist, returns with a family film, entitled “The Forgotten Prince”, carried by Omar Sy in the skin of a father hen who will do everything to keep his place in the heart of his daughter.

As parents, we always dread the moment when our children no longer see us as their everyday heroes. They grow up, meet people and then have other priorities.

It is faced with this problem that Omar Sy will find himself in “The Forgotten Prince”, directed by Michel Hazanivicius, whose trailer has just been unveiled.

Pathé

“Sofia, 8 years old, lives alone with her father. Every night, he makes up a story to put her to sleep. His extraordinary stories come to life in an imaginary world where the heroine is always Princess Sofia, and her father, the brave Prince. But three years later, when Sofia goes back to college, she doesn’t need these stories anymore. Unarmed, her father will have to accept that his daughter will grow up and move away from him. In their Imaginary World, the Prince will then have to face the most epic of all his adventures in order to keep his place in history “..

We also discover in the trailer that a new prince is about to enter Sofia’s heart, much to her father’s dismay. Alongside Omar Sy will be Bérénice Béjo and François Damiens. “The Forgotten Prince” will be released on February 12th in the cinema.
